Testimonials

Our daughter took piano lessons from Gwen for 3-4 years. During that time our daughter learned to read music and advance in her technique. She went from learning the keys on the piano, playing simple exercises to playing more advanced songs. Gwen is patient, practical and flexible. She often encouraged our daughter to make the musical piece her own. She was very in tune to when our daughter put in the practice time and when she didn’t. Piano lessons with Gwen helped our daughter advance with band. Her band teacher often commented on how well she did and attributed this to playing piano. We know Gwen has played a huge part in our daughter’s ability to succeed in band.    -Tina & Jackie-

If you’re looking for a piano teacher with demonstrations from being a well-versed organist, the sooner you connect with Gwen, the faster you’ll excel in piano with a solid technique and she’ll challenge you to grow by inspiring a love for music while also giving constant, detailed feedback. Gwen is an active member of the Beethoven Club and I have (had) the pleasure of seeing Gwen attend many live musical performances in the area. In separate years, both my sons were awarded blue ribbons from the local Marion competitions, which they have proudly displayed since that time. Both my sons are now on their own but can be found playing snippets from the same pieces that they memorized years before; all thanks to the neuron-engaging activities from these past musical activities. Thank you Gwen! For your child, you can also look for someone who majored in music education with a focus in piano performance. This is Gwen Ehler’s wheelhouse. She taught my kids basic skills like reading music, theory and general foundation of piano playing while also demonstrating weekly how these skills are applied.    -Dana Medin-
